The island of Elba can be reached by embarking at Piombino Marittima, where four shipping companies (Toremar, Blu Navy, Moby Lines and Corsica Ferries) have comfortable ferries that make multi-day trips. With only one hour of navigation cover the approximately 10 kilometers that separate the island from the mainland, reaching the ports of Portoferraio (the main), Cavo and Rio Marina.

Alternatively there is a fast connection with hydrofoil, for passenger transport only, which reaches Portoferraio in just 35 minutes.

• By car:
  From the North: From Milan, take the A1 motorway to Parma Ovest on the A15 to reach the A12 Genova-Livorno motorway, at Rosignano continue on the S.G.S. up to Venturina-Isola d'Elba and from here to Piombino Marittima.
  
  From the North-East: Highway A1 Bologna-Florence-Pisa-Livorno: in Rosignano continue on the S.G.S. up to Venturina-Isola d'Elba and from here to Piombino Marittima.
  Alternatively, the S.G.C. Florence-Pisa-Livorno: exit at Scandicci Florence and follow the S.G.S. up to Collesalvetti, go back to Autostrada to Rosignano Marittimo, take the highway to Venturina-Isola d'Elba and from there to Piombino Marittima.
  
  From the South: A12 Motorway Roma-Grosseto: S.S. Aurelia exit Venturina-Isola d'Elba, continue towards Piombino Marittima.

  The island of Elba is connected to the continent by various flights during the summer period carried out by foreign companies. The connected airports are those of Lugano, Zurich, Bern.
  The airport is located in La Pila at approx. 2 km from our hotel.
